What intake and carb
I have a pretty stock motor and i'm doing a efi to carb swap. And just till this summer what would be the perfect carb and intake. Only thing done to the moter is it has Victor Jr. heads and 10:1 comp.

I have heard some VERY good things about Demon carberators and have seen some impressive dyno numbers to match my opinion would be spend the extra cash and get some thing for it.Also the preformer RPM is a great intake. Those dyno numbers are on fletches 5.0 its a geocites site not sure of the exact address.good luck!

I think a Demon might be a bit much unless it was the 625cfm Road Demon. That carb looks bad @ss. Even a 625cfm carb might be a bit much on a stock motor though. I've got a Carter 625cfm on a Weiand Stealth with a fairly mild cam and it seems to work pretty well. I'd recomend a Stealth manifold no matter what carb you get. I'd look into a Holley 600cfm with vac. secondaries and an elec. choke for the street. That'd run hard as hell.
Crap...didn't see the part about Victor Jr. heads and the 10:1 comp. Go with the 650cfm and a Weiand Team G manifold. ------------------ 1984 1/2 GT350 (#842 Hatchback w/ T-tops), 302HO, Comp cams Xtreme Energy cam, Carter 625cfm carb, Weiand Stealth intake, MSD distributor, MSD coil, FMS 9mm wires, 1 5/8" MAC unequal shorties, 2 1/2" MAC Prochamber H-pipe, Flowmaster 2 chambers, KYBs, 16"x8" 4 lug Cobra Rs, Falken 245/45ZR16s [This message has been edited by 84_GT350 (edited 04-20-2001).] |
