What kind of times am I looking at here? (for the quarter mile/60')
1993 GT AOD Convertible
- Cold air - 4.10 Gears - K&N - Air Silencer Removed - Sport plugs and wires - Shift Kit |
Hard to say about the 60ft, that depends on a bunch of stuff . Maybe 2.1
new 1/4mile 14.6-14.7. Your only mods are cold air, shift kit and 4.10's. I'd expect the 4.10's and the shift kit to drop you the vast majority in ET. I'm saying stock you should run about 15.2. [This message has been edited by Unit 5302 (edited 02-24-2001).] |
Don't be too disappointed....you have the heaviest car out there....
If you hook up...you should get 14.60's-14.80's @ about 95 Your getting there....try a shot of nitrous to get you into the 13's. You can get the 5115 NOS dry kit used for around $200...i just saw one on the classifieds here or stangnet. I used to have an AOD GT...hardtop though. It never got faster than 14.40's w/ 3.73's GT-40 intake, K&N, pullies, and exhaust. ------------------ 4.10's,long tubes & 75 shot...Goes 12.50's Check it out at http://www.burnouts.webprovider.com |
so what else could I do to my car to get it below 14?

Seriously, My friend swapped in a T5 from his auto and gaind a full half second. He hit a 14.4 with just the trans swap, h pipe and induction tubing(K&N) Look into getting a used T5 or look for a power adder like nos or S/C
