![]() My 89 stang has 241 rwhp and 281 rwtq. the power peak was at 5200 rpm. i was real level headed about these numbers thinking i was ok. here's the problem, ported e7's stock valves, e cam, and a performer RPM fuelie intake. my good buddy has an 89 like mine with 4.10 gears bbk long tubes, bbk ORX pipe and flowmaster kit. mine has hooker shorties bassani orX and flowmasters. his put down 218 rwhp@ 5000 rpm and 279 torque @ 3500 rpm. my question is, what am i doing wrong shouldn't i have quite a bit more that him, there is only a 23 hp difference and same torque. around town it feels like his car could walk all over mine? any help or advice would be appreciated. my thought is severely mismatched parts.
thanks guys to 82GT if you read this, where are you running tonight? beaver, numidia, or other?
