good points by all
everyone has made good points about which shifter they like and I will add some to the equation.
I have been lucky to drive a number of cars with different shifters in them,I have a Hurst and would not have any of the others but like every one else it is my personal taste, and I will state what I like and dislike about them all, that I have drove and it is 3 of them B&M,Pro 5.0,and Hurst.
B&M felt to much like a stock shifter with the handle, throws were awkward to me,just my 2 cents.
Pro 5.0 the one I drove had the short handle, other than that it felt just like a Hurst, and that I did like about it.
Hurst I like having the ability to firm up the shifts if I want to with being able to remove the springs on the side. Hurst with the stop bolts can throw you off if you are not careful with them,by knocking it out of gear when you release the clutch.
As you can see they all have pro's and con's and that crap about missing gears and easier to find 3rd gear it is all propaganda,if you can miss gears with a Jerico and long shifter you can definitely miss them with any other shifter.
