![]() I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, but I think that if you don't know how to set your timing, then you should probably learn some more about your car before you attempt using nitrous. It takes some knowledge to get it right, and if you dont know what you are doing then you can cause serious damage.
But anyway, what you need to do with the timing is to remove the spout connector, loosen the distributor hold down clamp (1/2"bolt), leave it tight enough to hold in place but loose enough to turn by hand. Then attach the timing light to the #1 spark plug wire (its the one that runs to the cylinder on the very front of the passenger side). Then you can start the car, and point the timing light down onto the balancer. You will probably need to mark the timing marks on the balancer with a white marker so you can see them easier. After you have it set, dont forget to plug the spout connector back in, then you can shut the car off. Your timing setting depends on how much nitrous you will be running. NOS reccomends retarding 2deg for every 50hp in nitrous. I am at 16deg advance N/A with mine, and I will take it down to 12deg with a 100shot for example. Hope this helps

![]() what is your timing at now? if its no higher than 14-15deg, then leave it be with the 50shot.
But trust me you WILL get greedy with it and up it to 75 in no time flat oh yah, and stock plugs are also fine with only a 50shot
