What size Throttle Body??

Hey everyone, hope your having a great Labor Day weekend! I want some opinions on throttle body size for my 89 5.0, I currently have an E-303 cam with GT-40 heads, Cobra intake and 24# injectors with a 65MM Throttle body, I plan on ditching the GT-40's for the AFR 165's (some real badass heads from what I have read), so my question is what size throttle body should I go with?? Should I stick with my 65mm, go with 70 or even 75MM??? Your opinions are appreciated :) THANKS!

I have about the best flowing heads possible(Ported 192cc Canfields) with a ported cobra intake and a huge Ed Curtis .566 lift custom grind cam and my 65mm TB still isnt a bottle neck.

I borrowed a 70mm TB and it ran exactly the same.

Stick with the 65mm unless getting a bigger one will make you feel better somehow. :D

The cobra intake will choke your engine way before the 65mm throttle body will.

Re: What size Throttle Body??

So true dark5.0, I run a 65, all i need till like 450 hp probaly.
I like my ported gt-40 heads, but i rode in a car similair combo to mine with some afr 165's and a f-cam, that combo is really alive! pulled hard up top, and this same particular guy ran a 13.1 108 on worn khumo radials.
So save money on the tb, and put it towards some afr's.
