Question What size weld wheel to get a 26x10 inch slick on an 84 hatch

I am looking at a Hoosier 26x10 or a Mickey Thompson 26x10 slick. What size Weld wheel do I need and what backspacing. Also do I need to run tubes in these tires?

Weld 15X8 should be good. 5.5 inch backspacing for most fox body cars. and of course the 4 X 4.25 bolt pattern.

I had welds. Very light but they click while taking turns. Kind of annoying.

You want your wheel width within one inch of your slick width. If its a true slick, m/t 10.5" will be 10.5" of tread contact. A m/t et street tire that is rated at 10.5" width will only have 9.5" of tread conatact. So if you are going with a 10" slick you will want a 9" wheel with 6-6.5" of back spacing.
