What Spark Plugs??? HELP!!!
Man, I need a lot of help lately...now it is plugs.
I have a blower and TFS heads. I can't seem to find the right plugs. My car WILL NOT cold start worth a crap....it will start, pop, sputter and die. I have to sit there for 5 minutes and feather the throtle to get it warm enough to run...it is only 30-35 in the morning. I used to have NGK FR 5's gapped at .35. It would start ok, but when I would drive it, it would pop and backfire sometimes at about 1/2 or less throttle at lower rpm's. I decided to switch to a different plug. Now I installed NGS B9ES gapped at .35. It is worse than before. This is what I was talking about above...but it pops and backfires almost everytime. Any suggestions? Do I need a colder plug? What about Gap, what Gap should I use? I have heard some using .45, but I have been recommended .35 for some reason. What plugs are you guys using? |
Autolites...
3924's...do not use platinums either. Just straight up 3924's are what tfs calls for, at least twisted wedge heads. 35 thousands...
