![]() If this is a aftermarket quad.(bbk hays, frpp, steeda etc..etc..) ditch the springs you dont need them. and the other plst. part is the adj. unit take that off as well you dont need it . then all you have to do is put the new one on it will be harder to set the cable without help of someone else.

![]() explicitone is right, do away with all the spring loaded stuff, just simply mount the new quadrant on the two shafts. It's kind of a press fit type deal so it does not just slip on the shafts.

![]() Remove ALL the plastic pieces. The spring loaded one takes 90% of the whole installation time!
REMOVE THE SEAT, I did the "high-jump" (flopping backwards over my rollbar) to get it done. Had trouble walking after that. ![]() These are all the new pieces that went in: ![]()

![]() My dad and I just replaced mine with the Steeda kit. We put 2 nylon spacers in between the quadrant on the shafts. Took out all the old plastic parts and ditched the spring. We have the cable adjusted all the way at the bellhousing and the firewall adjuster is almost all the way out. I dont know if this is normal because it is still very close to all the way on the floor to disengage but it is better than it was.
Later, Nick

![]() Ok I got it installed, it was'nt too bad, my back is sore, along with two of my fingers, did a little bit of screaming, but it was hot outside so i was frustrated, but it sure saved me some money.
I like the feel, it needs more adjustment, but im going to the track right now, so i'll adjust it further over there, thanx again to whom helped me through the process. ![]() ![]()

![]() Well i ended up not going to the track, watched some b=ball instead.....
I have another question, my clutch feels hard to push (stiff) alsways has, I dont mind it much, but is it normal for the motorsport PP and disc to be this way? cuz my friend has a 12 sec 85, he has a mcleoud clutch, but it is soooo much easier to push in? maybe i should start a new thread, unless you guys know the dealio?? ![]()
