![]() Well as I sit on ship floating around the coast of Afghanistan I am starting my plans for all this extra money I will have when I get back to the states in about six months or so. What do you guys think? I am thinking about the procharger p1-sc. I originally wanted a novi 2000, but my comp ratio is 10:1. I think the intercooled procharger is a better idea. I am planning on 10 to 15 lbs boost. maybe the d1-sc? also I will be getting a Tremec, and k-member, coil overs, and full boogie fuel system. I just wanted to post a new subject, I got tired of reading all the other posts over and over. I am going through mustang withdrawl out here. I have only been able to locate one old 5.0 mag from a guy out here. later guys -Chris

![]() Sounds like you have got a nice 331 in your Stang.
As for the ProCharger idea, well, I would be very careful with 10:1 comp ratio. I really think that the high boost you're talking about is out of the question with 10:1. If you are going to supercharge it, the ProCharger is an excellent choice with the 3 core intercooler a must. With timing backed down, proper fuel and a good tune, you could run some boost - just don't get too crazy with it. N20 is another option - it would work well with the 10:1 too! ![]() BTW - the I have a Tremec 3550 and I love it. Good luck with your decision and thank you for supporting our great country! E

![]() FWIW, I'm running a Procharger with 11:1 compression on iron heads (don't ask). It works, but not reallly well since it detonates sometimes. I'm limited to about 9psi at the intake, with initial timing around 8-9 degrees. I also have to run the A/F a little fatter than I prefer.
I'm putting on Edelbrock heads which should drop compression to just above 9:1. Hope this helps

![]() Thanks for the input guys. I thought it would be ok with the 10:1. Don't cobras have like 10:1 or 9.85:1 compression? They love superchargers. I would have to run it a bit on the safe side tune wise, but I think it would haul a$$. Nitrous was my first choice when I was putting it all together. but that was before I had any idea that I could ever afford a supercharger. I read an article in MM&FF it had a LX with 10:1 and a vortech w/no intercooler. it ran in the 10's. What about turbos? Too much trouble? I would like to have about 550 to 600 hp. Is that unrealistic?
