Question What are the symptoms of a bad TFI? Please Help!

When a TFI module goes bad what does the car do? My car runs fine most of the time but has recently started cutting out on me every day. Today it ran fine in the morning but on my way home from work it cut out. It would not start. I let it sit for a while and it started back up. Then it cut out again. Once the car was in 4th gear it run fine until I had to slow down to make a turn. Then it cut out again.

When I say it cuts out I dont mean stall. It seams like an electrical problem. No warning lights. The headlights stay on when this happens. I replaced the ignition coil and that did not fix the problem.

Please help me with this. It is driving me crazy!

The TFI ignition module is a solid state device. It usually starts to go bad when it gets hot. When it get hot it will stop opearting and the car will not run until it cool down again.
