Default What type of clutch cable?

Tommorrow I am replacing my clutch cable. Should i get a Ford replacement or one from the auto parts store. It will be used with a quadrant and firewall adjuster so an adjustable cable is not necessary. How much do the Ford cables cost?

I bought mine from Ford and paid I think 80 bucks. You can use the one from the Autoparts store. The reason why I got mine from Ford is because when I bought the one from the store, it woudn't fit. So I got the one from Ford, and that one didn't fit either..... so I was like WTF? Turns out, when my clutch cable snaped, it kicked the clutch fork out of position. So, since I already had the Ford cable, I just used that one.

I would go with the ford cable. I have had two BBK cables snap on me. Knock on wood though the one I have currently is doing great.

well i just recently had a Steeda cable snap on me, so I'd suggest the ford cable as well

when mine snapped, i was out at college away from home and could not wait for them to ship me another cable, so i just bought a $22 cable from Advance auto and it SUCKS, it makes it so hard to drive, it binds up and is not smooth at all.
