What exactly is a two step. Is it another term for popping the clutch? I was just curious

It's an ignition device that lets you set two different rev limters. You have it wired so that it's on first step when you hold button and when you let go of button or however you have it set that i goes to the second rev limiter. EX; set #1 for 3-4000 rpms and when you release it it goes to second limiter set at 6000 rpm's.
That way you don't need to watch the tach you just hold button and floor it and your ready to 'rock"!!

Say you want to leave the line at 3800rpm each and every time that you launch. How you gonna do it? Just by listening to the engine? By looking at the tach with one eye as you're watching the tree come down with the other? A 2-step lets you set that launch rpm limit electronically. As long as you're holding the switch, the motor's limited to whatever limit you've dialed in. You'll have 3800rpm each and every time, without having to listen to the engine or watch the tach. That lets you concentrate on the bulbs and provides greater consistency both as a driver and with the car. You can also use the 2-step as a burnout rev limiter, or a nitrous rev limiter, just about any situation where you'd like to have a different rev limit than the continuous operation rev limit.
