Whats the deal with this chip?

Well luckily i didnt drop 2 bills for a new one, it was free, but how come i got no improvement, i did back my timing off to 12 from 14, i figured i'd get at least 2 mph, someone said, i think 95gt said these chips require using (no) cat cvrtrs? is this maybe why i see no improvement, actualy i think it hurt me, but it was severely humid when i ran, best was 14.0@97, should i bump the timing a bit more? or just get rid of the chip all together? anyone http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif??

Mass produced chips are a waist of money all they do is change your timing and maybe your fuel presure. You can advance your timing yourself and adjust your fuel presure with a regulator. Know after you get more mods you may want to consider a custom burned chip burned to your specs.
