Question What's wrong?

Well the front end of my car has been noisy lately. It's kind of a chattering noise and it only does it mostly on bumpy roads. I know it's not coming from the motor since I shut my car off and coasted and it still made the noise.

I have a feeling that whatever it is that it won't be cheap to fix. My car has 78,000 miles on it. The front end hasn't been moded in any way. Any guesses at what this could be?

Check your ball joints to see if they have grease in them still... My car makes that noise and it bothers the hell out of me on bumpy roads. My ball joints are completely wrecked. This is just a guess, I've replaced everything else except those!! LOL Good luck!

Ball joints soulds like a possibality. How are your struts? Sometomes blown struts will make a rattling noise. It definetly sounds like a suspension problem...

...or it could be your motor bounching up and down from broken motor mounts j/j

In my case, I replaced all of that!
That's definitely worth looking into though, My struts were pretty well gone when I changed them. and so were the motor mounts!
