wheel squeaks

There is this high pitch, loud squeaking niose coming from my front wheel when I take a turn sharply or brake. there is plenty of pad left and I am not sure what it could be. Maybe wheel bearing? anyone have any thoughts?

No flames here, but I really think it's the pads, OR, how about a bad belt under load? Water pump?, Power steering? Rack?

Driveshaft maybe?

When and how long has this been going on?

Its def coming from the wheel(s). I think its the pads but why? they have enough materail on them and the problem just started. It also happens when i take a turn real hard (i.e. highway exit ramp) while not hitting the brakes. Could it be the wheel bearing? or could the pad/rotor cuase it even not while braking?

Doesn't occur while accerating, only while coasting through a turn really tight or braking.

Thats why I feel its the pads, when you turn, it puts a side load on the calipers and makes contact with the pads warning indicators.

Try taking your wheels off and take a sanding disc to your rotors to scuff them up. The noise you are hearing is the pads vibrating. You don't have to take a lot of material off just break the glaze. It also wouldn't hurt to scuff up the pads a bit.

My buddy has the same problem. But we just changed his brakes and turned his rotors it still squeaks. It also squeaks when the cars not moving and you just move the tires back n forth. Any ideas?

try tightening up the wheel bearing bolt. It could be a bit loose. It could also be a bad bushing or something like that. But im not 100% sure of that. Just something to check.
