Question where is casting numbers?

where is the casting numbers on windsor heads? i cant find them! oh and another thing. 1990 F150 302, what heads are they? are they the E5's or 7's? the reason why i am asking is i may get the heads for free. depends on what they are. i know ALL about GTP and GT40 heads and they flow WAAAAY better, butt i dont see anyone giving those away for free, plan: port & polish and blend the bowls if they are E7's. thanks, James...

They are the E7 heads. Ford came out with the E7 heads in 1987.
They were originally truck heads.

The E5TE and E7TE were pretty much the same, and were both used well into the 1990's, but I'm not aware of them being used on any trucks in 1990. I'm betting that they're E6AE heads.

The casting prefix code appears on the underside of the head's intake runners.

Take care,
-Chris
