Post where did i get all this slack from????

my clutch cable is done now(i hope)..all of a sudden after a big ol powerbrake the tranny would stay engauged...ive been running the stock clutch cable setup with a CFDF II clutch..i adjusted the self adjuster out all the way on the stock paw and quadrent and even now they are NOT stripped..where the hell did this slack in the cable all of a sudden came from..with the stock setup it picked up way lower than it should but the tranny would not grind and gear shifter were smooth..the clutch fork is new as with the tranny and bellhouseing(maybee 2 year old)i dont think i could of bent the clutch fork with pulling less cable than normal..well ill get my SVO one 2marrow and i hope that it works..just seams funny to me that the paw and quad are still good and the firewall peice is still good but the clutch wont disengage..maybee the cable streached alot or something..any ideas????
