|  where to find a smaller crank pulley What car would have a smaller crank pulley for my 351w? I'm having trouble keeping belts on th alternator. Everything seem aligned properly now and I still keep tossing belts. I even use the "good" belts.(gatorbacks) I was told to use a smaller diameter crank pulley to underdrive the alternator. I just wanted to know what cars would have a smaller pulley. Mine measures 8 inches.

| Re: where to find a smaller crank pulley Screw the smaller crank pulley what you need is a deep groove alternator pulley. Its an off the shelf part at the auto parts store.

| Re: where to find a smaller crank pulley We bought one for my brothers camaro last year from checker auto parts. If yours doesnt have them look in summit. Throwing the alternator belt is a common problem and a deep groove pulley is the answer.

| Re: where to find a smaller crank pulley I found a 5.5 inch crank pulley from summit which would underdrive my alternator and water pump giving me a little more HP also.
