will this converter be good for my setup
 
okay its a 9.5 3000 pi converter fro an aod trans my setup is a 306 edlbrock heads rpm air gap 650 demon carb long tube headers 373 gears 1.7 rr my cams duration is 218/218 @.050 the lobe lift is .3010/.3010 and the seperation is 110.0 im curently running a tremec and im running 12.5 with a 1.7 60 foot will puting this in help me

your gonna install a torque converter in a manual transmission?? or do you mean to say that your gonna be switching to a auto and want to know about this converter??

if you drive the thing on the street, I'd steer clear. Remember, your cruise RPM needs to be higher than the TQ stall speed. 3 grand is a lot of revs for cruisin' main...

No its not! 3 grand isn't that bad around town. I have one and its fine around town.

302crew, that sounds good for you combo on a street driven car. Not sure how you ET's will turn out with the auto. If your going just as a drag car, then I might go with a little bit higher stall.

I have a c-4 and 3500 stall in my daily driver with 3.73's and i love it....a ton of torque

Seeing as how you race the car, to figure out the best converter for your setup, you need to get some dyno time. Figure out where peak torque and peak HP is. Then get the converter that is about 2-400 RPM below peak torque.
