Will M/T E.T Streets fit a 7 1/2" rim?

I got a set of practically new E.T. Streets for 100 bucks?
They are 26x10.5/16's, the only 16" rims I have around are some old Prime rims and I think they are only 7 1/2" wide.

I'd like to use them if they'll work because I don't go to strip enough to warrant buying some good drag rims,(at least not yet other suspension mods needed first).

Also I see these are tubed tires, but the guy at my local speed shop said not to use tubes in them, said they may leak down slowly but that's ok, he also said they'd fit these rims? True??

If I need tubes, can you use tubes on regular rims?

I never used tubed in my ET streets.

They will mount up but bulge out a little on the sides. 8-9 inch rims are better but 7 1/2's will work. Lots of people run 10.5's on turbines.

I E-mailed the tech. dept. at M/T and they said they recommend using tubes with 7 1/2" being the narrowest rim.
So can tubes be used on regular rims? I've never used them.

I run the 26X12.5's on a 7.5 rim with no tubes perfectly. No problems, you won't need tubes.

Who do you have to pay around here to get rep power!
