windsor engine swap into volvo
hey, don't laugh. lol. i'm sick of my inline 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. i'm considering the windsor 351 engine. at first i was looking at the 302, but after looking at the 351 windsor swap, that seems more promising as completely stock. mid 300 hp is nice and the torque is much greater than the 4 banger. lol. i was wondering what would be somebodys recommendation. any places with good warrantys on windsor 351's or should i buy one and do a simple build up with gt40 heads? or should i go out with a 302 building that up?

I'd build the 351 with some afr185 heads....buy the ford racing crate shortblock (or longblock). You will have an interesting time fitting it in..only difference I can see is that the 351 will sit higher, but I think you'll be into hood modifications anyway.

A guy that i work with has a FI 302 in his Volvo. He bought a kit so the 302 would bolt right in. I cant remeber wher he got it. I will ask him tomorrow.

where can i get the ford crate? perhaps from my local parts store? so you would totally go against a used engine and doing a ordinary rebuild?
