![]() Quick question...they aren't hard to replace are they?? God I hope not. Moved the car today and flipped the wipers on to clear crap off the windshield and my left motor blew on me right then...right started smacking into it. Oh joy...just what I need, more problems! I figure I've just gotta pull the blades off, stand the wipers straight up and take that panel off...dunno what else there is to get through down there but it can't be that hard right?

![]() Left motor? are you saying only one wiper is not working? Because there is only one motor, so if the other one is still working its not the motor, its probably the clip that attaches to the motor itself.

![]() The wiper motor attaches to the wiper transmission which links both arms together. If only one works the transmission broke, as there is no way to disconnect only one arm. One arm may be stripped on the post, but either way the whole thing gotta be replaced
![]() Good news that is a easy junkyard find for $10 or so. All the bolts should be accessable from the cowl vent area. You can figure out how to do in on the junkyard car before touching your stang at least ![]() P.S. I've had 3 wiper motors crap out on me, lotsa fun. Maybe should grab the motor from the boneyard car too. You'll notice lots of em are missing the motor. Maybe easier to grab the trans from one of those. It's nice when a victim is already partially disassembled.

![]() Thanks.. Yeah the arm popped off the linkage...BUT it will slip back on.. I found out why the arm died abruptly. Previous owner had slipped the ball end in the linkage and to hold it in, twist-tied the two arms together. The twist tie snapped, letting the linkage drop. I added another twist tie, and kept it loose so it allows as much possibly movement without letting the arm release...works fine for now, and fine by me! I might add a more reliable double-twist-tie system soon but I ran out.
