Post Is it worth it to have my car dyno'ed and tuned?

I called Crazy Horse Racing in Clark NJ today to see how much for a dyno run.

They told me $75 for a basic hp/tq test and $125 for a test and tune for the first hour.
Since I dont have any power adders, they would just adjust my fuel pressure and timing. Is it worth it? How much hp could they unlock if they tune my car with a dyno??

I am curious at least to get the HP / TQ numbers at the rear wheels.. Im just not sure about the tuning.. any suggestions??

I squeezed out an extra 10 rwhp on motor with a dyno tune a while back.

Setting the timing wouldn't be a waste of time, but setting your fuel pressure would be. It all depends on what $125 means to you.

Well I have my appointment set for August 17th. I'm going to do the tuning for $125. I hope they can squeeze out another 10hp that I wouldnt have been able to do otherwise.
I'm hoping for 260 rwhp and 295 torque.

Any changes you make to fuel pressure may yield you more horsepower on the dyno, but once you start driving your car that power will just go away because of the adaptive strategies built into the computer. Changes you make to timing will be permanent so I suggest you concentrate on that.

If, however, you decide to tweak fuel pressure, make sure that the dyno facility has a wideband O2 sensor so that you can find out what your optimal air/fuel ratio is. You can then get a chip burned to adjust your air/fuel ratio to what is optimal. Having that chip will then make HP changes from air/fuel adjustments permanent.

Sorry about my reply, it's not in the subject. This is a question about your traclink. How does your car feel on the road? Does it really increase traction?

As you can see from my sig below, I don't have any mods to speak of that will add power. I went to do a dyno session back in June, paid for the full hour which cost me $99, and I had a great time. Granted we only squeezed out like 3 more HP from the timing, but it was helpful to see where I was making power through out the RPM range. Found out that my car does drop off after 4800 like I thought it did. It was well worth the $99 and I had a great timd doing it. Just my $.02 worth.
