Post x-pipe = h-pipe?????????????

What is the difference between and x- and h-pipe? Or are they the same thing???

Another stupid question. If you get an h-pipe with cats, does that replace ur catylitic converter? If so, how can do this without making ur car ungodly loud. (I kind of want my car to sound badass, but I also want it to be a 'sleeper').

Thanks,
DoranW

Cool

X-pipes make more hp than h-pipes when used w/ high flow mufflers. If you used a baffle design muffler, stick w/ the h-pipe. Yes, h-pipe w/ cats replaces your stock cat set up.

Not all x pipes are the same, according to one of mustang magazine which i don;t remember which one had comparison test and Mac prochamber came out on top but Headman x pipe which came in second place was only one horse less than prochamber and less money.I bought Headman pipe last year and love them.It sound awesome different from H pipe that i had before but H pipe is a lot cheaper.THe only thing about Headman header is it comes in 5 pieces and you have to weld it together which another cost that adds up.

If you go with cats and H-pipe will make more power. If you go catless, an X-pipe will make more power.

The subject is right. xipipe = h-pipe, that is why I have the Pro Chamber

But really, if I didn't go with the Pro Chamber, I would have gone with an X pipe. Maybe one from Dr. Gas.

The Dr. Gas did worse than most of the x-pipes tested in 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords.
