I put a mac off road X pipe on my car last year and I had problems under the rear passenger seat area.As if the pipe was twisted when they made it.I had to put a jack under it and push it into place.also at the headers I had to tweek it to get it to fit.I wouldn't call it a true fit design.good luck.

I would take it to an exhaust shop. They should put it on even though it is an off-road.

No, a shop will not put it on.It's an emissions thing.

Just because it's an "emission thing" doesn't mean you won't find plenty of shops that'll do it. Try midas and a few other places, the local midas by me will do whatever for cash on the side.

My understanding was that they can be fined for doing any work on a car without emmissions controls, and the fine is pretty heavy. Your best bet might be a performance shop, though if emmissions are strict in your area you might have a problem there too. Call around and find out.

Default X Pipe Prob

You can do it yourself. It's really not that hard. You need to connect the the pipe at the H...I mean, at the X...and then install it. When connecting it at either the headers or the pipes leading to the muffler. Make sure you tighten everything a little at a time. Leaving one side loose until you get the other on, etc. It takes some patience, but can be done fairly easy. Of course there always is that chance that it came a little tweaked from MAC.

Hummmm....seems that a lot of people have problems fitting their Mac H-pipes. IMO, I would just return it and get a BBK.

Mac Sucks!!!

I had to beat my h-pipe to death to get it to fit. I think thier test car is messed up because I had that problem with the pipe that forms the h was twisted too. Now my tips are not even because right at the h one end points up a little and the other points down a little.
