![]() im switching from the b cam over to the X cam. what kinda of power gains would u guys expect.. im thinking 15-20 hp gains.
347- Bcam switchin to X, air-gap intake, MSD, pullies, gt40 aluminum heads, equal shorties, 1.6 roller rockers, 650 DP holley, best ET: 12.58 @ 110 with a 1.84 60 ft. |

![]() I would say that is a good guess of where you will be. I have seen a few cars fly with the X cam. You may want to call a cam builder and see what they recomend the if it fall close to the specs of the X, buy the X. Good luck, hope you go fast, later Jason

![]() The extra lift will let the heads breathe a ton more, the x will work much better. The B cam was made to run with fairly restrictive head ports so it isn't a great cam with a really good set of heads.
I'm planning on swapping mine for a Comp cams XE 270.

![]() We're looking at the X303, AFR185s, the Typon intake on our 88GT stang project.
Any comments on this combo? Current mods: LT headers, underdrive pullies, 3.73s, aluminum driveshaft, 75-100 shot of juice. |

![]() With stock heads, the X would not be good. Ported and big valves, shaved, then a B or a E would be O.K.
