If I was ready to get a fox body to race, I would be all over that. I think the price is fair and know it already screams. For now, the old stang gets all the funds...

Someone needs to go smack IEC! Shivvy side?? What the hell are you smokin bro??? Not on your (or MY) wildest dreams!!! Although I DO have a penchant for a 67-69 Camaro with a 393 FORD stroker, Tremec tranny, 9" rear, and "POWERED BY FORD" as big as I can get it on the cowl hood!!!!!

Right now I'm thinking '67 Fairlane GT with MY motor("Albert")/trans in it. Nothing less! I've already been offered an '03 Yukon Denali, and an '04 Yamaha RX1??? (Not sure about the bike, but it looked bad azz!)

Don't get worried guys, I'm just fishing at this point, to see what nibbles!

I have officially been smacked. But I said "at least I know you WON'T be jumping to the chevy side". If you did get a camaro, you'd have to put a sticker on the back glass in addition to the one on the cowl hood.

I hate to see anyone sell their beloved mustangs, but if no one sold their stangs then we'd have a hard time buying up all the foxes in good shape. I was waiting for you to dispose of your "temporary" engine and put that 393 in that car to see what it would do. I am sure you'll get even better offers than the ones you mentioned above. You have a good price set. I am surprised that someone hasn't already offered to pay cash for it. Good luck fishing, Jester.

I'm getting officially "smacked" just about everyday too. Friends/family think I'm nuts. It's not looking good, hardly any response to it at all. Running out of time already, so very soon here I have to get started on it's winter updgrades if I'm gonna have it back out in the spring.

You'll have an easier time selling it if you had the 10 second timeslip, instead of stating that it COULD do it. That being said, it seems to be a fair price, I'd probably contemplate selling mine if I could get that much too.

I believe he had a few electrical problems that he recently fixed before he decided to sell it. It's only needs another .07 to be in the tens. Plastic racing seats would give him that.
Hell, you can find another .07 or more just in jetting or timing or if the weather conditions are right.
If I was a buyer, and boy do I wish I was, I wouldn't worry about another .07 seconds to break the tens.

Last time at the track, she didn't even make it off of the trailer due to electrical gremlins, but we've fixed all that already.

I hear ya though, I would LOVE to have that 10 sec timeslip! I was chasing it all summer long, and now look what showed up last night, guy wants to trade my car "rolling" for this turnkey: I gotta admit, I'm a little more than excited. Can you imagine my engine/tranny in this bad boy? But alas, I might not be welcome on mustang sites like this anymore. :(

I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be welcome. I know there are others on here that no longer possess stangs, but drive other cool rides or even soccer vans now. Doesn’t mean u can’t contribute ur past knowledge. Odds are, u are going to be running mostly late model mustang parts in the car anyhow. I have tried to convert most of the 65 over to the late technology, which is why the car will never be technically "finished". Now that I know you are taking ur engine to the old ride, I am all about it!!

The Fairlane has a 351C (needs rings) with a C6. Already has the front disc brake swap, already has the 9" rearend swap, and best of all, it already has a CLUTCH PEDAL!!!

And I get to trade a roller, for a turnkey??? "Albert" and his proshifted TKO will fit right into that summa beeoothch!

Just got back from Michigan, 4 hours ONE way! Sheesh! What a trip that was. On a side note, Michigan doesn't impress me much, I think we should sell it to Canada.

Anyways, it's with a sad heart I have to inform you all that The Bad Apple will be living in Pontiac Michigan as of this Saturday. As soon as I walked into this guys garage, I knew it was a done deal. This Fairlane is BEEEAUTIFUL!! And solid as a rock. Almost NO rust on her. The official deal is as follows:

I keep:
Engine (Carb to pan, water pump to flywheel), Clutch, bellhousing, tranny, shifter, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel press regulator. NO fuel lines, those stay.

He keeps:
351C and headers. Period.

I hope I can still hang around here, cuz I love this place and I've learned A LOT from you guys!!!! But I have a chance to own my Dream car for ZERO dollars, and I gotta jump on it.

On the bright side, the car is ALL black, and the last 6 of the serial are 138666 So I'm thinking the new Fairlane will be called "The Punisher" hehehehehe But I'm open for suggestions on that as well.

A Fairlane is still a Ford and besides that, you have a wealth of valuable information a lot of us could always use....myself included...as you already know first hand :D

Sunday is the official day. Had to rearrange work schedule and everything. I'll get more/better pics if you guys are interested.

FFW officially frosted my nuts. Nostalgia Ford was my absolute FAVORITE class to watch (Other than Warrior and Renegade) and I was SOOOO excited that I'll actually be able to run IN it! Went to check the rules, to make sure I was "ok". FFW did away with the class. I was like WTF???? So, back to Quick Ford I go.......

Ab-so-******* lutely! 347/TKO WILL be in the Fairlane, as soon as I find an oil pan, front cover, and headers. Even converting the clutch pedal so I can run a cable with a stang quadrant and firewall adjuster.

Got the solid motor mounts built, got the fuel tank sump fabbed up, now onto the clutch issue.

Does anyone have a fox body clutch quadrant laying around doing nothing??? I THINK I got my clutch issues figured out, but I'll be dipped in poopy if I can find a quaddrant in my shop. I KNOW I have at least 3 of them..... somewhere.

Nothing fancy, just need it for "mock up" right now........ :D

THANKS!!! I don't think the "stocker" will work, if you're talking about the platic "auto adjust" type job.

What I'm looking for is an aftermarket 1 piece job, just to fab up a bracket, and make sure I have clearance. Planning on using a triple hook from my man Walt, but don't wanna spend the cheddar until I know it'll work.

Iffin you have one I can even BORROW, I'll send it back unmolested!!!

Forgot to put in my "leaps and bounds" thread, already have the full compliment of Autometer Phantom gauges, and since they don't build a "pillar pod" for a Fairlane, I DID! hehehehe
