I got the same form, but I've never replaced the module and never had to. I bought the car used in 98 and never had a problem with that. Not sure what the deal with this letter is, maybe the guy who had it before me replaced it?

your taking a gamble, as the settlement hasnt been finally approved yet. If you buy the module, theres no guarantee that you will get your money back at this point.
Other than that, I guess it would be a good idea. How much does a module cost? |

I thought they were $80.00? I remember somebody saying that once. Mine has never gone bad, on any Ford car Ive owned that had one.

I got one of those notices in the mail too. For my year car their is an asterisk indicating it doesn't apply to me. I have never had a problem with the TFI anyways.
If your year car is involved I wouldn't bother with it unless your car has broke down because of it.

the asterik doesnt mean it doesnt apply to you. your car has a TFI module doesnt it? The asterik means it doesnt apply to all models of that car, in your case, being the 2.3 liter mustang engine. but you have the 5.0 engine, so it does apply to you.
