I had 30's on my car when it dynoed at 270 at the wheels. I switched to 24's and the numbers were exactly the same.

Personally I don't care how hard the computer is working. It does not need a vacation. If it fails, I put a new one in!

All I care about is the number at the big end.

the first pull is at a base 10deg timing, which is where he had been driving it, so we wanted to see what it was making there, we all knew it wasnt gonna be too great with the stock intake on there

the ONLY thing we changed for the second run is the timing, bumped to 14deg and ran it again,

we all about crapped our pants when we saw the numbers, 40.1hp and 34.1 lb-ft increase!
there is no way i would ever believe this if i hadn't been there and participated
the third run was just for fun, the engine had heated up so thats why it lost a few hp

this thing would probably pick up about 50-60hp with a good intake on it. talk about breathing through a straw, this is more like breathing through a coffee stirrer

the attached file is the horsepower dyno sheet

Where did u go to dyno the car at??

OK also I don't know why someone didn't comment about his 75mm Throttle Body. THAT will kill some low end torque. Why would he put on such a big throttle body for a combo that makes very little? Have him put on a 70mm or even a 65mm. The 65mm will hold up to 400hp and you won't loose the much needed low-end torque the 75mm starves you of.

I think what everyone is saying is just that its funny you would take such an unfinished combo to the dyno. The parts are completely mismatched still.

Yeah the timing thing was definatly interesting though. My car felt like it lost SOO much power going from 8 deg to 18. When I was playing with it once.

HE didnt put the 75mm TB on, HE hasnt put anything on it. That is the other thing we told him to get rid of. He's gonna try to trade it for a 65 or 70mm asap.

Skyman he just wanted to baseline it and see what he has to work with. He'll be going back again when its more of a matched combo.

Smokedawg, I'm not exactly sure of the name of the place. I'd know it if i heard it again though. Its up in Noblesville. It's like $85 as opposed to out at Kenny Brown's shop where its $100 WITHOUT wideband and you can't touch the car there. You get to watch them do it. Not worth it IMO. The place in Noblesville will let you do whatever and they aren't rushing you to get out of there.

I'll probably take my car there sometime in spring if possible. You should tag along and bring your car too. I'd like to check it out sometime.

Ok ok ok ok , we all know its a bad combo, so lets try and leave that alone. The horse it dead, we don't need mutilate it !!!

Basiclly, in a nut shell. A friend of mine bought this mustang and wanted to see what it had. I told him the same thing you guys have been saying, but its his money so I told him where to go.

Then when we checked his timing after run #1, we thought, well lets go to 14 and give him 10 more hp. We were shocked to see 40 more hp. SO here we are now, just showing how 4 degrees made 40hp on a car with a 12:1 air fuel ratio. Advanceing the timing does lean it out slightly, so I am sure that acounted for some it it also. Not to mention he used 89 octain !!!! LOL !!

He is making a list for Santa as we speak, so it will match his car much better.

As far as mismatched combo's go. Look at my signature. That is a dead *** simple combo that screams and uses no chips , no tuning, no FMU's and the weak *** GT-40 intake everyone says sucks.

SMOKEDAWG: The dyno we went to is called Automotive specialists, located in Noblesville. 317-773-0322 talk to brent. He owns the place and is a great guy. All they do is pull it up and run what you brung. He don't tune. get hold of me when you go, its pretty cool to see other guys cars.
