|  engine idles high since i bought my car the engine has idled high sometimes. it doesn't do it all the time, but when it does it usually idles between 1500-2500 rpm. it does it when i push in the clutch to shift, or when i am stopped at a red light. the only way to get it to idle down is to turn the car off and back on again and it will usually go back and idle normally. i replaced the iac and cleaned the throttle body but can't really come up with anything else. could it be from a vacuum leak somewhere or is it a sensor |

| Re: engine idles high could be a leak but thy tend to idle it down.make sure your throttle body blade opens and closes freely,my friends car was doing the same thing and thats what it was.check tps voltage also. |

| Re: engine idles high make sure u have no vaccum leaks....tps should be set at around .90v at closed throttle also tfi could cause an idle problem
