Re: Replacking Stock Heads best way to tell is doin a leak down check....the way to do it is bringing the #3 cylnder to the compression stroke with both valves closed....then screw your compression tester in to cyl. #3 leave the gauge off and hook an air line up to it so u have compressed air running thru and in to the cyl #3 ....now as long as the #3 cyl is on the compression stroke with the valves closed listen to the tail pipe and the intake if theres air comming out from there u have a bad valve....if it comes out the radiator u have a bad head gasket...out of the oil cap bad rings....good luck
