Default oil pump problems?

I'm having some trouble and need help. My motors locked up and its been suggested that my oil pump has gone out. I have a 2000 gt and I've never had any problems out of the car until now. Can anyone out there help or give suggestions, please?

Have you fixed the problem yet with your locked up engine. Oil pumps are pretty tuff and dont just quit. Normally. There could be other things to look for if your still looking for answers I'll go into some things you can look for.

thats not true the stock pumps in the modulars use cast gears and they do break.... they are not like the old school pumps

people have broken them from high rpms, nitrous puts a big hit on the pump gears... but so far the biggest proven killer of the stock pumps are underdrive pullies

cause unlike the pushrod motors where the pump was driven by the distri. the modulars drive the oil pump by the crank and underdrive pullies have been proven to be to small to dampen the harmonics enough which can lead to the pump gears breaking
