Question 1984 mustang gt with 3.8L 232 #matching, rare?

I just bought a 1984 mustang GT but its got a 3.8L 232 in it and the numbers are matching. I cant find any on the internet like this, with the gt model. Is this a rare mustang? Also my uncles the one who had it so I know its legit. He just rebuilt the engine and its got 5,000 miles on it with a 25,000 mile tranny. Any advice would be great, thank you
