1999 V6 Engine Question
Hey guys...
I'm pretty new here, but have had my 99 LX for a couple of years now and I haven't had any major issues with it. I went to go start it last night; and when I went to crank the engine over, it tried to start normally, and then it failed, kinda like if you pull your hand off the ignition key too fast before the engine is actually started. I know that's not what I did, but what happened has got me a little scared. When I went to start it again, it started making a very high-pitched noise and would not crank the engine over at all. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the car, back of the engine. I thought it was the starter, but the tow truck guy said to me that he thinks it's the flywheel. I just assumed that it was the starter because I had a Camaro that had a dead-spot in the starter and would make a similar noise, but now I'm not so sure. Has anyone had a similar situation or can diagnose what happened to my Pony?? |

Re: 1999 V6 Engine Question
My guess would be the starter as well....
