2.3L 87 Mustang
I have a 1987 2.3L Mustang. It was running fine for a while, and then one day I stalled it as I was leaving. Whenever I tried to restart it, it wouldn't start. It just makes a clicking noise whenever I turn the key. It's been sitting for a while and I'd like to get it running again. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thanks.

dead battery (most likely) or, starter solenoid, or another solenoid. If the car has sat for a while with the battery dead chances are you will need a new one.

I had a problem with my '86 2.3l. I started it, ran inside and came out and it was off, I tried to restart it but it would not! I tried everything i could think of, and finally had a friend who is a mechanic come over and look at it. Turns out I split the timing belt in half and it jumped a few notches. I got a new belt and it has run great since! Just an idea!

I also broke some teeth on the timing belt on my '84. When I tried to start it though, it would turn over (kinda weird sound), but wouldn't start. I replaced it and it runs fine now.
