Default 2.3l Air restricter mods

I was wondering that if i cut out the air restricter on the 2.3l 87 mustang. will the extra airflow have anything to do with emmisions. I need it to pass please help.

Don't give it a second thought. The car won't fail emissions because of better airflow. In any case it'll run leaner because of more airflow, and thus score better on emissions. Most little things can be done without worry.
