Red face 2000 window problem

I have a 2000 Convertible - drivers side window is going up too far. Glass shops indicate this is a common problem with 2000 & 2001 models. Adhesive at base of window comes loose and entire window needs replacement due to inferior adhesive. Any other owners with this problem? Ford says it needs more complaints to do a recall on this.

I know they have problems with motors but never heard of this one.
