2003 mustang gt
hi, new to the board. recently picked up a 03 GT.-traded in my 96 camaro z28.
looking to bring the GT up to speed with my old camaro, what should i do first to get the HP up in the 300's? |

buy a kenne bell blower, its all the mods you'll need, trust me

I know a couple of guys who have installed them in their garages. The kit is VERY complete, even with a chip. I'd still get it dyno tuned, but if you are serious about serious power, that's the way to go.
Did I mention you will have killer torque too?

Here's the dyno from my friends 99 gt with a Kenne Bell. It's got a 5 spd with 3.73's and (maybe) a couple other mods. But you'll notice it's pretty stout..

stock for stock your 03 should be on par with a lt1 camaro

hey man thats awesome. i checek them out about $4k, i think cheap considering you pick up an instant 100 hp
do you need the gears with that or upgrade the axel? |

With those blowers, isnt the boost instant and constant? Unlike centrifugical blowers where the boost builds with rpm's?

I'd reccommend a gear upgrade too. 3.73s would do nicely.
The KB 2V intercooled kit is a get "bolt on" if a power adder is a bolt on. The best part is that you can run stock internals and accessories but I think it's best to ensure you fuel requirements don't slip. A stock rear should hold for most drivers who spend little time at the track and most of the time onthe highway to work. The twinscrew design is more efficent than other ROOTs blowers and KB did a great job with this unit. |
