![]() I am trying to straighten out a 3.8L that has the spark plug wires in the wrong order. I have a Haynes manual that shows the engine and distributor firing order. The problem is that the distributor orientation is not the same as the diagram in the book so I am unsure which post on the cap is #1. I know that the rotor will be facing #1 when the #1 piston is at TDC on the compression stroke but it is next to impossible to even see the spark plug hole. Does anyone have a suggestion?
