Angry Is the 4.6 Cobra engine found in any other Ford Product

I was told that some of the 1995-1996 Lincolns used the same long block assy as the Cobra Mustang. That the intake and runners were the only difference. Is this true? I need a Cobra engine for a 99 Mustang and hate to pay $6500 for one.
Secondly, is it difficult to swap a 3.8 to a 4.6 in a 99 LX.
Third, will a 5.0 go into the 99 LX without extensive modifications to the motor support towers, or will it bolt up by just changing the motor mounts.
Thanks for the help.
