I have to disagree about the 94-95 advice. There are too many parts that won't fit properly. Far better to get a '93 or earlier to make everything a bolt-in proposition. The I4, V6, and V8 use the same K-member, it is the I6 that requires a different K-member.<p>
Hopping up the V6 is a tough proposition. There are almost no speed parts for it.
