Default Best classic Ford pickup for project?

My wife has been drooling over every classic Ford pick-up she sees. I am looking to buy a running truck, and make a mild street truck capable of at least low 15s. My only requirements are V8 and that my wife thinks it looks good. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Decisions, decisions.

It's hard to make a bad choice here & really a matter of personal preference.

There are a few Classic Truck magazines out there, you might want to stop by the newsstand & pick them up. They should help you & your obviously cool wife decide what you 2 like the best. Then check Hemmings, on-line, etc to find the truck of your dreams.

My only real advice: Once you decide what year(s), model, bed size & type etc. you like & really want, don't settle for less. Find the classic truck of your dreams & enjoy!

Bill

Whatever you get, search high and low for a rust free body, the time and money it takes to cut out the rust will drive you crazy. Spend the extra, it's worth it!
