Faulty Start?

I went to start my car yesterday and it turned at it started, and then shut off. So I tried it again and it shut off, and so the third time, I pretty much floored it after it started and it was fine after that, What happen?

Sounds like maybe a coil pack or starter. Is this the only time it has happened? when you start your car do you put your foot on the gas to start it? If so this will flood the engine and cause it to shut off.

I never start with my foot on the gas...lol.

Its happen once before, a couple of months back, its alright after you basically floor it in park to give it some gas. I took it to ford after it happen and they adjusted the idle which they said was low, and I went on my way. Then it recently happen again!
Argh...

Re: Faulty Start?

All 3 of my late models have done that like you describe. When it happened did your dash flash THEFT?

Sometimes the code reader in the key doesnt read properly, so the fuel is shut off. I turn my key over and try again, and it usually works, and like I said, it has happened to ALL 3 of the late models. May be the same thing happening to yours.
