What gears are in my stock 92 LX 2.3's rear end? 2.73's? Just curious.

Should be 2.73's. Check the door tag;
Under 'AX' it will have an 8 if you have the open diff, M if you have Traction-Lok. 3.08 would be Y on open diff, Z with Traction-Lok.
