Leaking Tranny
Guys, I crawled underneath my car today and spotted a big stained along the right side of the car frame. I noticed that there was a leakage coming from where driveshaft meet tranny. I installed this tranny about a year ago, it is an overhauled cobra tranny. Now, I don;t know if I damaged the seal when I installed the driveshaft or defected from the company that I purchased it from. Anyway, my question to you guys is can i change that seal in the back or tranny or I have to take that sucker out ( again?) to have professional do it? ( and that would be sucks big time ). May be Autozone may have the replacement seal for that or what? anybody?
Thanks guys.

You can do it yourself, and in less than an hour. Get a replacement seal, and a couple quarts of fluid. Pull the driveshaft, and pry out the old seal. Inspect the yolk on the end of the drive shaft, and make sure it doesn't have any burrs or uneaven wear that might have caused the seal to fail. Install the new seal with some fluid around the inner seal edge, and reinstall the driveshaft. Check the fluid level, and add accordingly.
Take care, ~Chris
