i'm adding a off-road x-pipe and a flowmaster exhaust system to my v6, just wondering what difference does it make if i use long tube headers or shorty headers.....

Your X Pipe will be "shorties" if you have long tube headers. You can check Mossmuscle, stangmods, Americanmuscle, latemodelrestoration, and companies like that.
