Default Headers

I have a bit of a manifold leak on my 302 so I decided I may as well put on some headers. Santa said OK. Anyway, my exhaust guy told me to just get the Flowtech headers from O'Reilly or Auto Zone. They are surprisingly inexpensive. Has anybody had any experience with these? Suggestions? It is my daily driver so I'm not looking to go nuts with the performance stuff. Thanks. E.

Default Re: Headers

I use the Tri-Y's ala Shelby. All the mail order Mustang houses have those for $160-170 or so. Mine have been great for street use with 2 1/2" pipes and 3 chamber FlowMasters. I get about 1.5 psi back pressure with that set up and it works well with those headers.

Ditto Rev on the Tri-Ys. I picked up a set of Ceramic coated ones from Sac. Mustang about 3 years ago. They really cut down the heat and no complaints so far. They run about $270.
