Help with my 98' V6 mustang
 
I have a 1998 V6 3.8 litre mustang and I really would like some more power it already has customized dual exaust with Flowmasters, and a K&N.Also can someone tell me how to take the air silencer off and where it is located.....PLEASE HELP.....

I'm not sure what stock rear gears come in a V6 but if you went with the next step up you would notice quite an improvement. Probably comes with 2.73's. 3.08 or 3.23 would be nice...

The Air silencer is located in the air cleaner assembly. There is a description of how to remove it at:

You'll really like this site. It's VERY informative. Also, to add to what the gear guy says, the Stock V-6 comes with a 7.5" rear end with 2.73:1 final drive ratio. If you do a lot of highway driving, then you don't want to use a new ratio that's any higher than 3.45:1. I would recommend 3.27:1. That's an expensive mod, though, and unless you have a bit of money to throw around, don't worry about it yet. If you have any more questions, feel free to write me at:
