Default just got draglites!

i just picked up a set of weld racing draglites (15x3.5 front, and 15x8 rear). i need to know what size tires to run. i want to be able to use these on the track (if i ever get to it again, haha) but want to use them on the street as well without having to worry about treadware too much. i am thinking about drag radials but have heard they wear fast on the street. any suggestions on what size and type of tires?

thanks,
adam

man, this is one of them questions where you'll either get 1000 responses or none. try doing a search on this topic. its more a matter of opinion than anything, and what kind of cash you got and want to spend, etc. drag tires are definitely the most fun, but wont last long,,,, youll have trouble with treadware regardless with the skinnies on front and fatties in the back. cant rotate em or anything. might as well go with some M/T's or Hoosiers,, or the drag radials like you mentioned.
really depends on what you want to do with em.
later,
Q

Yeah, best to do a search. But since I'm already here......

If they're for the track, get slicks. Or at least MT ET Streets, which is the same thing mostly. I'm not sure if you can get a 275 on the 8" rim but I'd go as wide as I can fit personally. Pull the quads and pound out the wheel wells.

If they're for the street but not bad weather go with the BFG D/R's they hook the hardest. If driveablility and length of life is important go with the Nitto D/R's.
